As we build Revolution Wind, we’re also investing in long-term infrastructure improvements at ProvPort, Quonset, and State Pier – establishing these ports as centers of the region’s growing blue economy. With hundreds of new union jobs, local supply chain contracts, and state-of-the-art infrastructure built for land, air, and sea, we’re ensuring New England’s ports are bustling with offshore wind activity for decades to come.

ProvPort

We built our state-of-the-art offshore wind construction hub at ProvPort, creating hundreds of union jobs and breathing new life into this historic port.

We have invested more than $100 million to build our ProvPort construction hub – the largest offshore wind supply chain investment in Rhode Island history.
We reached a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) with the Rhode Island Building and Construction Trades Council and Dimeo Construction, ensuring that the site upgrades and facility construction required to turn ProvPort into a regional offshore wind hub – as well as the assembly work itself on South Fork Wind and Revolution Wind – are completed by local, union labor. The site upgrades and facility construction at ProvPort create approximately 40 union jobs.
We partnered with contractor Riggs Distler & Company, Inc. to lead the work at the new, 288-foot long ProvPort assembly hall. Together, we created more than 125 union jobs at this site fabricating advanced foundation components for Revolution Wind and South Fork Wind.

Quonset

How are we investing in Quonset?

We have invested $35 million to build a Regional Offshore Wind Logistics and Operations Hub at Quonset Point. The operations and construction oversight for our South Fork Wind and Revolution Wind projects, respectively, are led by Quonset-based teams.
We partnered with two local shipyards – Blount Boats, in Warren, R.I., and Senesco Marine, in Quonset Point, R.I. – to build five new crew-transfer vessels. These vessels are berthed at our Quonset hub.
We signed the first-ever U.S. offshore wind helicopter agreement for new crew helicopters, including a $1.8 million investment in Quonset State Airport where the helicopters are based.

State Pier

We're transforming State Pier into a state-of-the-art, heavy-lift terminal, building a world-class resource for Connecticut for decades to come and re-establishing New London as a hub for global commerce.
How are we investing in State Pier?

We have committed more than $100 million to revitalize State Pier and help put the Port of New London back on the map as the epicenter of Connecticut's maritime economy.
We marshaled components for South Fork Wind from State Pier and are doing the same for Revolution Wind, for which components have just begun chegar.
